Florence: Grilled cheese and grace – what I’ve learned in 2020 By: Russ Florence Guest Columnist December 24, 2020

For many years,
Esquire magazine ran a regular feature called “What I’ve Learned.” In that spirit, here’s what I’ve learned in 2020:
I’ve learned I enjoy working from home. I like the flexibility and efficiency, and how work and life weave in and out of each other so seamlessly. I like walking into the backyard and discovering random third-grade science projects unfolding.
I’ve learned of the inefficiencies that inherently come with in-person meetings – driving, parking, waiting. They serve a purpose, but there’s something to be said for the cut-to-the-chase nature of Zoom meetings.
