Before the coronavirus pandemic, Zouk, one of Singapore’s oldest and most elaborate nightspots, easily attracted at least 3,000 partygoers a night. Now it sees only 150 patrons every evening and has had to transform parts of its 31,000 square feet complex into a restaurant, spin studio and cinema.

Singapore defers pilot reopening of nightclubs, karaoke outlets

SINGAPORE: Pilots for the reopening of nightclubs and karaoke outlets that were supposed to start this month have been deferred until further notice, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said in a joint press statement.
“We have seen an increase in the number of community cases in Singapore recently, of which some cases are currently unlinked and under investigation,”
