SCCL recruitment: Applications invited for 372 job vacancies

Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has issued a recruitment notification to fill up 372 job vacancies in various departments.
As per the notification, the vacancies are of the Fitter Trainee (Men only), Electrician Trainee (Men only), Welder Trainee (Men only), Turner/Machinist Trainee (Men only), Motor Mechanic Trainee (Men only), Foundry Man/ Moulder Trainee (Men only) and Junior Staff Nurse (Female Only) posts.

The local posts are reserved for candidates belonging to erstwhile four districts i.e., Khammam, Adilabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. These districts have been reorganized into 16 districts recently.
Chhattisgarh power companies top PLF performance in India

Raipur: The thermal power generating companies functioning under the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPDCL) have excelled and registered a record 70.08% Plant Load Factor (PLF) against the national average of 51.59% PLF.
The Central Electricity Authority (CEA), in its monthly report of December 2020, stated that the Chhattisgarh thermal power plants PLF was 70.08%.
The CEA report states that in the performance list CSPDCL remained on top. Meanwhile, Telangana State Power Generation Company with PLF (68.25%) secured second position and Singareni Collieries Corporation Limited (67.59%) remained on the third position.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who holds the Energy portfolio, has praised the company Chairman IAS Ankit Anand and Director NK Bijora , for the aforementioned achievement.
Singareni Collieries to invest ₹333 cr for housing for colliers

Following the approval by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the State-owned coal mining company, The Singareni Collieries Company Limited has planned to invest about ₹333 crore towards housing for colliers in the mining belt.
N Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director, in a statement said as per the assurance given by the Chief Minister to employees earlier, new and bigger quarters are being constructed. In the first phase, 1,478 quarters at a cost of ₹ 333 crore will be constructed. Of these, 352 will be completed by June and the rest will be completed by the year end.

Stakeholders call for elaborate discussion of EIA
An environmental public hearing was conducted for change of technology from the Load, Haul and Dumper (LHD) operations to the Continuous Miner method in the existing Padmavathi Khani 5 incline underground mine of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) at Rudrampur in Chunchupalli mandal on Tuesday.
The public hearing was held under the aegis of the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) as per the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC)’s notification dated April 6, 2018, under the environmental clearance re-validation category as per the standard terms of reference, SCCL sources said.
