The road trip from Denver to Las Vegas is a classic road trip for Coloradans – a rite of passage, even. But a straight shot to Vegas isn’t the only way to do it. Find joy in the journey, when you turn the popular Mile High-to-Sin City drive into an adventurous loop.
On the way to Vegas, make a few fun stops at Breckenridge, Grand Junction and Cedar City. Then, after leaving the neon lights of Las Vegas, loop south so you can hit Lake Havasu, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, Telluride, Crested Butte and the Buena Vista hot springs, before returning back to Denver.

SALT LAKE CITY The National Weather Service issued a pair of winter weather advisories across the mountain ranges from northern to southern Utah ahead of another storm expected to once again bring the state a mixture of rain and snow Friday and Saturday.
The storm moved into northern Utah Friday evening. At about 6:50 p.m., the Utah Department of Transportation announced there were roadway restrictions in place for both directions on U.S. Highway 40 from Heber City to Fruitland, and traction devices were required.
Earlier in the day, UDOT tweeted that traction devices, chains, and 4x4 were required for all vehicles traveling in both directions for Big Cottonwood Canyon and Little Cottonwood Canyon.

CEDAR CITY Cedar Breaks National Monument, which received an uptick in visitation in 2020, will soon have a new visitor contact station.
Park officials and Gov. Spencer Cox announced Monday that a new center will help the park expand its open season. The new facility will include interpretive exhibits, a dark sky base camp and a park bookstore. There will be wildflower programs and new field classes will also be available at the centers.
Project officials said they believe it will provide a better visitor experience for the hundreds of thousands of people who visit the area annually. This project restores the heritage of Cedar Breaks as the gateway to southern Utah s high alpine experience and the entrance to Utah s red rock country, said Mark Preiss, director of the Zion Forever Project.
