The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit reports 287 shots have been given out in the last 24 hours, adding to the 16,282 that have been administered overall.
On top of that, the active COVID-19 case count continues to fall locally.
It sits at 21 as of Friday afternoon.
This comes after one new case of COVID-19 was added by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) and three people recovered from the virus.
The new case is:
A man from Bracebridge between the ages of 45 to 64. The cause is still under investigation.

Ontario unveiled new measures Friday to combat highly contagious COVID-19 variants including mandatory testing of international travellers at Pearson Airport and border crossings.
Health Minister Christine Elliott said the confirmation of the United Kingdom variant in Ontario coupled with other contagious strains circulating globally mean any move to lift lockdown measures will occur slowly and cautiously.

This reticence to roll back public health measures will continue even as modelling shows the overall COVID-19 situation improving with fewer new daily cases and hospitalizations.

A devastating outbreak linked to the British variant of COVID-19 at a long-term care home north of Toronto has now infected just more than 300 individuals, heightening fears of community spread.
Ninety “household members” – a broad group that includes family of people who live or work at Roberta Place in Barrie, Ont., as well as staff from local hospitals, paramedic services and other community agencies helping manage the outbreak –
have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, said Charles Gardner, Medical Officer of Health at the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in an interview on Wednesday.
All but one of the home’s 128 residents have been sickened with the virus, along with 86 staff members.

Roberta Place community relations co-ordinator Stephanie Barber confirmed the death to
BarrieToday on Thursday.
An essential caregiver associated with the Essa Road facility also died after becoming infected, bringing the overall death toll to 51 people since the outbreak was declared Jan. 8 by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit.
Barber said there was also an increase in positive cases among staff/team members at the home, which is up to 89 from 86 as reported on Wednesday.
