Four more COVID cases, 11 recoveries

The cases, two males and two females, were identified from among the 153 tests conducted. Additionally, 11 people recovered, while 85 remain in isolation. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 3 744 (1 819 females and 1 925 males), and there were 3 634 recoveries and 44 deaths. The public health laboratory carried out 146 728 tests since February 2020. To date, 65 873 vaccinations were administered to 27 137 men and 38 736 women as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. ( BGIS)

Article by Social Share The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified seven new positive cases – all females – of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday, April 7, from among the 453 tests conducted. Eleven people recovered from the virus and were discharged from isolation. There are 95 people in isolation. Barbados has recorded 3 704 (1 795 females and 1 909 males) confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 2020. A total of 3 576 people have recovered from the viral illness. There have been 44 deaths. The public health laboratory has so far conducted 144 608 tests. On Wednesday, nine people were vaccinated as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. To date, 63 747 vaccinations have been administered – 26 350 men and 37 397 women. (

Barbados continues to see a decline in COVID-19 cases. Four new cases, two men and two women, were identified out of the 619 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, April 8. Three persons were released from isolation, bringing the number of recoveries to 3,579.  There are 100 persons in isolation. The island has recorded 3,708 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, comprising 1,797 females and 1,911 males.  There have been 44 deaths. The public health laboratory has so far conducted 145,227 tests. To date, 64,645 vaccinations have been administered – 26,662 males and 37,983 females.
