PSA Mumbai Enhances Europe Connectivity With New Epic/Epi3/Ip1 Europe Service
The berthing of CMA CGM’s “APL New York” on 20th January 2021 marked the launch of PSA Mumbai’s 2nd direct Europe service and its 8th weekly service call. The 9,336 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) capacity vessel is one of the 4 deployed by CMA CGM on this service. Partners COSCO Shipping Lines and OOCL also respectively contribute 2 vessels and 1 vessel each. The new EPIC / EPI3/IP1 service connects PSA Mumbai to key Europe markets with the following port rotation: PSA Mumbai – Mundra – Jeddah – Tangier – Southampton – Bremerhaven – Rotterdam – Antwerp – LeHavre – Algeciras – Jeddah – Jebel Ali – Abu Dhabi – Qasim – PSA Mumbai.

A consortium of three global container shipping lines led by CMA-CGM SA started a new direct service to Europe from the Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT) in Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT).
This is the second direct service linking PSA International-run Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT) in JNPT.
The berthing of CMA CGM’s ‘APL New York’ on 20 January, marked the launch of the service. The 9,336 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit) capacity vessel is one of the four deployed by French box line CMA CGM on the service.

Six ships, each of 4,250 TEU capacity, are being deployed
A consortium of six container lines has launched a new service from the Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT) in Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to the Far East in a move that signals renewed confidence in the volume recovery of India’s export-import (EXIM) trade in the wake of the pandemic.
Wan Hai Lines, Interasia Lines, Sinokor Merchant Marine Co Ltd, Heung A Line Co Ltd and Feedertech Pte Ltd, will deploy six ships on the service, each with a capacity to carry 4,250 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), a spokesperson for PSA International Pte Ltd, which runs BMCT, said.
