FARGO A 38-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in brazen thefts from numerous ATMs in Cass, Barnes and LaMoure counties.
Joshua Fergus McCleary, of rural Wheatland, about 30 miles west of Fargo, was arrested Tuesday night, Jan. 12, in Dickinson after a dangerous confrontation with law officers, according to Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner.
McCleary allegedly rammed a squad car as officers were attempting to arrest him, Jahner said.
The investigation remains active, with at least one other person associated with and seen at the scene of the ATM thefts.

Last night around 8:15 PM, 38 year-old Joshua Fergus McCleary of rural Wheatland, ND was arrested in Dickinson. McCleary is a suspect in a crime spree to include the theft of several ATM’s that spanned the counties of Cass, Barnes and LaMoure. At this time there have been no formal charges related to the ATM thefts. This investigation remains active and on-going at this time. As this investigation moves forward, more information will be made available. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone who has information that relates to these cases to contact our office at (701) 241-5800. After hours, contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at (701) 451-7660 and request to speak with a deputy.

FARGO - A large police presence gathered outside the Motel 6 off 36th St. S. early Wednesday morning.
The Red River Regional Dispatch Center confirmed a call came in for a disturbance there just after midnight.
13 police cars responded to the building.
No roads were closed to the public as officers investigated the area and spoke to people at the motel.
Officers cleared the area within an hour.

Update: Fargo Police locate missing vulnerable adult
Chelsea Sorby, 34, was last seen at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8., before being located in Moorhead the following day.

FARGO The Fargo Police Department located a woman who had gone missing at 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8.
Chelsea Sorby, 34, left 1442 19th St. S. in Fargo at 8 p.m. Friday to walk her dog around Fargo South High School. She did not immediately return.
Police suspected Sorby was with acquaintances. She was ultimately located in Moorhead Saturday afternoon, Jan. 9, and returned to her address.
