The fifth meeting of the Specialised Committee on Citizens’ Rights was held today, co-chaired by officials from the European Commission and the UK Government. A number of representatives from EU Member States were also in attendance, as was the UK Independent Monitoring Authority for the Citizens’ Rights Agreements. The Committee has been established by the Withdrawal Agreement to monitor the implementation and application of the Citizens’ Rights part of the Withdrawal Agreement, which protects EU citizens in the UK and UK nationals in the EU, including their family members.

Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: BBC – Richard Sharp approved as chair of the board.
Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee – Geoff Thompson appointed as deputy chair and Ama Agbeze as board member.
National Lottery Community Fund – Blondel Cluff appointed as chair, replacing Tony Burton who had been in the role on an interim basis.
British Film Institute – Tim Richards announced as chair, replacing Pat Butler who had been in the role on an interim basis.
