Fraud allegation: Secondus demands apology, N1bn from ex-Oshiomhole’s aide

THE National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, has demanded N1bn in damages and an apology from a member of the party, Kassim Afegbua, over statements which he said impugned on his integrity.
Afegbua was Oshiomhole’s aide when Oshiomhole was the governor of Edo State.
Secondus asked Afegbua to pay the damages, retract the statements and apologise within 48 hours or be ready to face a lawsuit.
Secondus’ demands were contained in a letter by his lawyer, Emeka Etiaba (SAN), dated April 29, 2021 and addressed to Afegbua.

Former Edo State Commissioner of Information, Prince Kassim Afegbua, Wednesday, reiterated his commitment to have the finances of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, audited in line with the party’s pursuit of transparency and accountability in governance.
