ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Two days after her body was found in a wooded area near her St. Johns County home, authorities announced Tuesday that 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey was stabbed to death.
According to the medical examiner, Bailey’s death was a homicide caused by “sharp force trauma by stabbing,” the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release posted to its Facebook page.

Two days after her body was found in a wooded area near her home, authorities announced Tuesday afternoon how 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey died.
According to the chief medical examiner, Bailey’s death was a homicide caused by “sharp force trauma by stabbing,” the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a news release posted to its Facebook page just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
“This is a cold-blooded murder by an individual who, I’m not even gonna give his name. He doesn’t even deserve for his name to be mentioned,” Sheriff Rob Hardwick said Tuesday. “This is a cold-blooded murder of a 13-year-old young girl who did not deserve to die.”

Aiden Fucci, 14, was arrested early Monday on suspicion of second-degree murder and booked into the St. Johns County jail. Fucci was transferred to the Volusia County Regional Detention Center, where a judge on Tuesday ordered him to be held in Department of Juvenile Justice custody for 21 days.
