(May 7, 2021 / JNS) Special envoys to combat anti-Semitism from 22 countries, as well as representatives from Jewish communities in 45 countries, gathered on Tuesday to discuss methods on how to prevent and respond to hatred.
The representatives, who were also joined by seven international organizations, joined together for the International Meeting of Special Envoys and Coordinators Combating Antisemitism (SECCA), convened as part of World Jewish Congress’s 16th Plenary Assembly. The SECCA was held virtually due to COVID-19.

ZURICH (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 04th May, 2021) Switzerland s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday that it was in contact with Iran following a tragic death of a Swiss diplomat in Tehran. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs confirms that an employee of the Swiss embassy died in Tehran on Tuesday. The department and its head, Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis, are shocked by this tragic death, a statement read, adding that the Swiss embassy is in contact with the local authorities.
Iranian media said earlier that the First Secretary of the Swiss embassy died in a fall from a high-rise in the Iranian capital. The 51-year-old reportedly represented US diplomatic interests in Iran.
City Offers Homeless One-Way Travel Ticket to Europe if They Sign Contract to Never Return

Toprak Yergu, a Basel Department of Justice spokesperson, told local newspaper
20 Minutes that homeless individuals in the city can request a travel voucher and 20 Swiss francs (USD$21.90). In return, the individuals must sign a contract vowing not to return to the country for a specified period of time.
The official told the outlet any individuals caught violating the contract could face deportation. Beneficiaries must undertake in writing not to return to Switzerland at least for a certain period of time. If they are checked again, they risk expulsion from our country, Yergu said.
