Srinagar, Dec 21:The counting for 280 District Development Council (DDC) seats would begin on Tuesday which would decide the fate of 2,178 candidates who had contested in the polls.
The State Election Commissioner, K K Sharma on Monday said that the State Election Commission has made all necessary arrangements for tomorrow’s counting of votes. The counting for 280 DDC constituencies will begin from 9 am on Tuesday at all district headquarters across Jammu and Kashmir, Sharma said.
Sharma said the election results would be accessed online dynamically.
Sharma said the overall voting percentage in all eight phases across Jammu and Kashmir is 51.42 per cent and over 30 lakh votes would be counted at counting centres.
