Inset: Some of the exclusion zones TEENAGERS from gangs which police believe could possibly be linked to two murder investigations, have been banned from entering parts of Southend, Rayleigh and Leigh. The fifteen yobs - five boys from the Leigh Lot and ten boys from O Block - are part of gangs which have been linked to drug dealing, violence and anti-social behaviour. Police are also investigating possible links between the gangs, based in Southend and Rayleigh, and a violent incident in which a man died and another suffered life-changing injuries after a disturbance in Southend in August last year.
Zone B While these gangs generally aim their violent behaviour at each other, members of the public have also been victims of crime and impacted by their anti-social behaviour. Essex Police has arrested and prosecuted a number of individuals, some of whom are currently going through the courts or are being investigated. The individuals are banned from: 1) Associating with each other, and other named people within the order who are part of the Leigh Lot, O Block and Gutless Gang, in a public place, or place to which the public have access, save for any court appearances together, appointments with outside agencies at the same time, or whilst attending any school/college (but even then must not associate together off the premises) or when detained in custody or with prior authorisation of the police (which will be provided in writing)
Martin Retail Group has been fined more than £60,000

A national retailer has been fined more than £60,000 after hygiene inspectors discovered a pest infestation and a sewage leak at a Sudbury store.
Martin Retail Group was sentenced for multiple food hygiene offences at its McColl s store on Market Hill in Sudbury.
The retail group must now pay a total of £60,000 in addition to £5,589 costs awarded to the council, for the offences which date back to January, 8 2020.
After a complaint about rats at the Sudbury store, inspectors from Babergh District Council paid a visit.
On inspection they found evidence of pest infestation, as well as sewage leaking all over the toilet floor.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after three people were stuck by a car outside a celebrity favourite night club. Three people were involved a in collision with a vehicle outside The Sugar Hut, in Brentwood High Street, at about 3.10am on Sunday, April 2, 2017. All three victims were seriously injured. The Sugar Hut is a nightlife favourite with celebrities, and featured heavily on hit ITV reality show The Only Way is Essex.
The north Essex criminals to appear in magistrates court last week A TEENAGER carried out and assault and resisted arrest before providing a false account to the police. The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, assaulted his victim in Clacton in August last year. After resisting arrest, the next day he provided a false account to the police and messaged the victim asking them not to proceed with the case. The teenage boy admitted assault, resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty and perverting the course of justice. The offender was released on bail until a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on April 23.
