The Countess of Chester Hospital employee admitted the thefts at Chester Magistrates Court. A MAN who stole thousands of pounds of IT equipment and a defibrillator from the Countess of Chester Hospital Trust has been sentenced. The offences occurred between June 20 and August 23 while Brown was working as a receptionist at a number of sites around the trust, with a total of £3,000 of equipment stolen from the NHS Foundation Trust, while numerous electrical items including the defibrillator, collectively valued at £8,736, were stolen from the Countess of Chester Hospital. Appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, December 22 to be sentenced, Brown was handed a 12-month community order and ordered to complete 200 hours unpaid work.
