Catholic Charities, which operates Samuel L. Jones Hall Homeless Shelter, became aware of the potential exposure last Friday when two people staying at the shelter tested positive for the variant. Catholic Charities and the city are responding to the outbreak.

Joining him in today’s town hall are Bill Carter, the Behavioral Health Division Director for Sonoma County Department of Health Services, and Dr. Jei Africa, Director of Marin County’s Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. Sonoma County Set to Receive Nearly $18 from Federal Grant

Officials said yesterday that the county will get nearly 18-million dollars in grant money. The Department of Health Services will use the money to expand the county’s public health workforce, lab testing, as well as other goals.
