LANSING, MI. â The Corn Marketing Program of Michigan (CMPM), Michigan Soybean Committee and Michigan Wheat Program announced an online workshop covering the basics of grain marketing. The workshop includes two sessions which take place on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m.Â

âWeâre holding these workshops because we saw a need for more education around grain marketing to give growers the tools they need to manage their operations,â said Claire Dewey, outreach director for CMPM. âThis workshop is an opportunity for newer farmers to broaden their knowledge and for experienced farmers to refresh their skills.â

MARKET GRAIN: A new workshop series will provide an overview of pricing tools available to producers, including cash sales, forward contracts, hedging, options and minimum price contracts. Three sessions will take place on Tuesday nights, starting Feb. 23.
