Free services will be available in the 50 km range from city
Telangana Congress made available three free ambulances at Gandhi Bhavan from Sunday to help COVID patients.
The ambulances donated by Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy were flagged off by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy in the presence of TPCC working president Kusum Kumar, former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy’s daughter Jaya Reddy.
Mr. Jagga Reddy said the ambulances were donated on the call given by AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to support the corona patients in the country. People can reach the helpline desk at Gandhi Bhavan on 040-24601254 and services would be available in the 50 km range from the city. He had spent ₹20 lakh for the ambulances.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was not responding to the appeals to include COVID-19 treatment in Arogyasri while several other States were already providing free treatment to all the COVID patients.
Addressing the representatives of rural local bodies in a meeting being held by Panchayat Raj Sanghatan on virtual mode, he said TRS government’s attitude on the pandemic was inhuman. Despite lack of beds, injections and medicines shortage the government has not taken any concrete steps to mitigate the problems of people.
‘Govt. failed to fulfil its promise of extending free COVID treatment’
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Sunday accused the government of being blind to the fleecing of people by private hospitals and said this was due to the heartless and negligent rule of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Addressing the meeting of the core committee of the TPCC through Zoom App here on Sunday, he said neither the government had intervened to spare the hapless patients charged with lakhs of rupees by the hospitals nor it has fulfilled its promise of providing free treatment. The Chief Minister did not take steps to add Covid to Aarogyasri or implement Ayushman Bharat which would provide free treatment to Covid patients.
