DECATUR â U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Taylorville, said Wednesday that President Joe Biden s massive $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan would get zero support from Republican lawmakers should the president attempt to pass it through the budget reconciliation process.Â
Davis also addressed the once-a-decade redistricting process, which could endanger his future as a member of Congress depending upon how Democrats in the General Assembly, who have complete control over the process, lay out the new district lines.Â
Speaking before a Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce event at the Decatur Club on Wednesday, Davis said more spending on infrastructure like roads, bridges and waterways was necessary.Â

For those with a vested interest in open borders, which is to say virtually everyone in D.C., any military presence on our border was just too much. It was intolerable. Official Washington went berserk when Trump did it.

Monday on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, host Tucker Carlson questioned why the federal government was not transparent with the numbers of illegal immigrants in the United States and why government authorities stonewall when asked.
Carlson argued the public had a right to know more about the border crisis, despite the aspersions cast on those who inquire.
