Absolute negligence led to sickout by junior doctors, says Guy

Loop News Dr Morais Guy Opposition Spokesman on Health and Wellness, Dr Morais Guy, is urging the Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton, to move swiftly to bring an end to the impasse that saw junior doctors calling in sick by the hundreds on Thursday amid a contract dispute with the Government. According to Guy, it is “absolute negligence that has caused the current crisis within the health sector”. Guy, in a statement on Thursday, said the crisis resulted from the lack of seriousness attached to the situation by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. He expressed concern about what he cited as the likely long-term negative effects on the healthcare system.
