John De Silva joins the Lasco Distributors with 25 years of international experience in the food beverage, nutrition, homecare and personal care business.
Lasco Distributors Limited (LASD) has announced the appointment of John De Silva as managing director, effective March 1, 2021.
In a notice via the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Thursday, LASD said De Silva joins the Lasco Distributors with 25 years of international experience in the food beverage, nutrition, homecare and personal care business.
De Silva fills the managing director position that was left vacant following the departure of Peter Chin in 2019. Lasco Distributors was being led by deputy executive chairman, James Rawle.

Barita Investments Limited now owns 20 per cent of the issued and outstanding common shares of Derrimon Trading Limited (DTL).
The minority stake acquisition sees Derrimon becoming an associate company of Barita Investments Limited, Barita advised in a notice via the Jamaica Stock Exchange on Friday.
Derrimon is the owner and operator of the Sampars and Select Grocers supermarkets, among other holdings in the local and US markets.
