Delta Resumes New York To São Paulo Flight With A Boeing 767-400ER

Delta Air Lines is now connecting more of South America with the United States following the return of flights between New York City and São Paulo, Brazil, utilizing a Boeing 767-400ER aircraft. In a statement from Delta last week seen by Simple Flying, the Atlanta-based airline announced the resumption of four weekly flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU).

The route will be operated using one of Delta’s 21 Boeing 767-400ER aircraft and will help facilitate the transportation of essential goods and services through Delta Cargo. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) TSA officers detected twice as many firearms per million passengers screened at airport security checkpoints nationwide last year compared to 2019, and Houston ranked high on the list with the most detections, according to a press release from the agency.
The TSA says this is a significantly higher rate than any other year recorded before.
In 2020, officers reportedly caught approximately 10 firearms per million passengers, compared to five per million passengers screened in 2019.
In total, the TSA says it discovered 3,257 firearms on passengers or in carry-ons in 2020. Of those, about 83% were loaded.

MILWAUKEE - Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers detected twice as many firearms per million passengers screened at airport security checkpoints nationwide in 2020 compared to 2019, and at a significantly higher rate than any other year since the agency’s inception.
A news release issued on Tuesday, Jan. 26 says throughout 2020, TSA caught approximately 10 firearms per million passengers screened as compared to about five firearms per million passengers screened in 2019.
TSA officers discovered a total of 3,257 firearms on passengers or in their carry-on bags at checkpoints, although the total number of passengers screened in 2020 fell by 500 million versus 2019 due to the pandemic. Of those firearms caught in 2020, about 83 percent were loaded. In 2019, TSA officers stopped a record 4,432 firearms, of which 87 percent were loaded.
