Aspiring musician killed in Miami-Dade drive-by shooting
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Zedekiah Peacock had a passion for music and raw talent as a keyboardist, playing in his family’s church and professionally for a major record label.
But his big dreams were silenced Sunday evening after a drive-by shooting that left two people injured and the 20-year-old aspiring musician dead at Northwest 61st Street and 31st Avenue.
“He had a gift, a very interesting gift,” Zedekiah’s father Zachery Peacock said. “My son is no longer here, but I’ll endure it.”

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A southwest Miami-Dade woman told Local 10 News about how she and her husband helped a man who had been shot by his grandson.
He managed to make it to Lisa Pelaez’s doorstep.
“Around 11 something, we heard this really loud pound on the door. My husband’s like, ‘What is that?’” she said. “He said, ‘I’ve been shot. My grandson shot me. He’s shooting everybody.’”
Shortly before the man showed up at the Pelaez’s door, police said Williams shot his grandfather, his aunt and his cousin.
MIAMI, Fla. – A 6-year-old girl is dead after she was one of three people hit by bullets Saturday night, Local 10 News has learned.
Local 10 learned that the shooting happened during a birthday party for a toddler. Chassidy Saunders was struck along with two other people.
Miami police confirmed that they responded to a call near Northwest 55th Street and Sixth Court around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Chassidy and a woman in her 20s were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. A man in his 20s arrived at the hospital on his own he had been shot in the leg.
