Health dept launches new vaccine scheduling tool for ages 75 and up

WBBJ TV January 22, 2021 JACKSON, Tenn. There’s a new way for Madison County residents 75 and older to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. Health department officials say their phone lines crashed when they first opened up COVID-19 vaccine scheduling by phone. Since their phone system went back online earlier this year, the phones have been busy with calls from residents. To help ease the strain and help Madison County residents ages 75 and older make vaccination appointments, the health department created an online scheduling link. “We have been busy, so that’s great, we have a lot of interest in this new system. We’re really excited to be able to launch it today and give people the opportunity to schedule their appointments online,” said Mallory Cooke, Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department’s public information officer.
