Additional death, 9 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Madison Co.

JACKSON, Tenn. The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed another Madison County resident has died due to COVID-19 complications.
The health department says an 86-year-old woman died April 12 due to COVID-19 complications. A total of 232 Madison County residents have died due to COVID-19 complications.
The health department also confirmed another nine new cases of COVID-19 in Madison County, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 11,197.
Those new patients range in age from 23-years-old to 77-years-old.
There are currently three Madison County residents hospitalized, with one of those patients on a ventilator.

JACKSON, Tenn. Jackson State Community College has announced plans to host a vaccination event on Wednesday, April 21.
The drive-through vaccinations are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gymnasium parking lot on the main campus of Jackson State, at 2046 North Parkway in Jackson, according to a news release.
The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will be administering the Pfizer vaccine during the event, the release says.
There are no residency requirements and the event is open to anyone age 16 and older.
