JOPLIN, Mo. â Inside the new Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, visitors will find an alabaster chapel wall.
Itâs one of the only pieces of St. Johnâs Regional Medical Center that was spared by the storm in 2011.

The monstrous winds were so strong they twisted the hospital on its foundation.
âIt was worse than you see in movies,â Ashley Miller, who was a nurse on the 7th floor of the hospital, told 41 Action News in 2011.

One dead after crash at Oxnard intersection Thursday night
A Ventura woman died after a two-car crash in Oxnard Thursday night, officials said.
The accident took place around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue, the Oxnard Police Department reported. A 2008 Nissan Altima sedan and a 2019 Dodge Durango SUV collided in the intersection for unknown reasons, authorities said.
A woman driving the Altima was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center where she died from her injuries.
She was identified Friday afternoon as Adrianne Wilson, 37, of Ventura, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner s Office.
