It s that time of the year where Georgia Asian Times recognizes the 25 Asian Americans Pacific Islander individuals who have make an impact in fields ranging from business, education, community service to politics. We honor these individuals for their contributions and dedication in their roles within the community.
We admit that the roster is incomplete and we may have omitted some well qualified Asian American Pacific Islander individuals. The list of “most influentials” have been submitted through online nomination and vetted by our selection criteria. Some names are familiar but a majority of the honorees deservingly earned their way to the roster.

Three Georgia men accused of taking part in the roadside slaying of Ahmaud Arbery in February 2020 have been indicted on federal hate crimes charges, according to the Justice Department.
Travis McMichael, 35, his 65-year-old father, Gregory, and William Roddie Bryan, 51, now face federal charges of interference with rights and attempted kidnapping.

Rossana Delgado, 37, leaves behind two children and a grandchild.
A manhunt is underway for five people suspected of killing Rossana Delgado, a mother-of-two from Georgia, who went missing while she was driving for Lyft, officials said.
The 37-year-old s body was found on Tuesday around 7 a.m. during a welfare check at a home in Cherry Log, Ga. by the Glimer County Sheriff’s Department, officials said. She was last seen and reported missing on April 16, according to a statement by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI).
Warrants have been issued for four suspects in connection with Delgado’s murder: Megan Alyssa Colone, 30, of Stone Mountain, Ga., Juan Ayala-Rodriguez, 35, of Gainesville, Ga., Oscar Manuel Garcia, 26, of Austell, Ga., and Mario Alberto Barbosa-Juarez, 29, of Oklahoma City, Okla. All four have been charged with murder and police believe there is a fifth suspect, GBI said.
Human remains found in Effingham County, GBI called to investigate
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations was called Friday afternoon after human remains were found in Effingham County.
According to Effingham County Sheriff s Office spokeswoman Gena Sullivan, deputies were called to Highway 30 in Springfield around 3 p.m on Friday.
A hunter called ESCO and said he found what he believed to be a shallow grave with human remains.
