Spend a Saturday out on the patio at the
Industrious Spirit Company and treat yourself to some slow-smoked brisket or pulled pork. Make it a meal with homestyle sides like cornbread and mac and cheese and top it all off with ISCO’s handcrafted cocktails. You can find the Baby’s Bonetown BBQ truck at ISCO on some Saturday afternoons (Feb. 27, March 6, 13, 20 27, and April 10 and 24) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Grants will help Ja Patty finish Pawtucket kitchen, expand to wholesale

PAWTUCKET – When Conroy Outar and Alison Rosario moved into their new space at Lorraine Mills in Pawtucket in March to launch a commercial kitchen for their business, Ja Patty, they weren’t expecting the pandemic to hit a week later.
“We started building it in fall 2019,” Rosario told The Breeze, adding that they moved in “right when things hit. Everything stopped within a week.” After starting their business in 2018, they used to drive their food truck to different events and serve up their menu of fresh-baked Jamaican patties and Caribbean food, but since COVID-19 has put a hold on gatherings, the truck has been parked at 560 Mineral Spring Ave. in Pawtucket, outside the mill building that houses their incomplete commercial kitchen.
