Local recipients are:
⢠Alyssa Cook is a Geraldine High School graduate and a freshman at Snead State Community College studying biology.
⢠Seth Maddox is a Geraldine High School graduate and a junior at Auburn University studying computer engineering.
⢠Noah Williams is a Marshall Christian School graduate and a freshman at Samford University studying business.
âThese students represent the future of our state and our nation, and we are proud to invest in their education,â said Alfa Insurance President Jimmy Parnell. âWe feel certain weâll see a great return on this investment, because our scholarship recipients go on to do great things.â
Morrison said the idea for the business was about a spirit of unity. “We wanted to make sure everyone was included, [when representing their house]. So we have products in house colours,” Sophie said. During their business studies class, the trio first sought feedback from other students on their idea and then met with Geraldine company High Street Stitch and Print to discuss the next step.

Geraldine High School year 13 student Sam Morrison, 18, displays the Aorangi Colours website he and two other students established. High Street Stitch and Print is a division of Lynn River Ltd and helped the students come up with designs.
