View Comments POINT PLEASANT BEACH - A Newark man admitted in court on Thursday that he stabbed two people on Jenkinson s beach last Labor Day after a fight escalated, authorities said. Juwan Roman, 18, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose before Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels, according to a news release from Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Roman was charged immediately following the Sept. 7 stabbings, but his name was not previously made public because he was a juvenile at the time. Earlier this week, Roman agreed to be charged as an adult and the case was moved from Family Court  where juvenile cases are typically handled  to adult criminal court, Billhimer said.

O’Connell was by Kim’s side throughout the ordeal, singing to her when she was in a coma, decorating the walls of her hospital room, sometimes pleading with God from her bedside.

Police responded to Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River late Tuesday afternoon where officers found the teen on a field outside the school with the javelin impaled in the teen s right thigh. There was no sign of bleeding and the Pine Beach resident was able to talk with medical responders, police said. He was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

High school student impaled by javelin in Toms River TOMS RIVER A teenager was hospitalized after he was impaled by a javelin at a track-and-field event, police said Police were called to Donovan Catholic High School in Toms River late Tuesday afternoon where officers found the javelin impaled in the 16-year-old Pine Beach resident s right thigh. There was no sign of bleeding and the boy was able to talk with medical responders, police said. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The extent of his injuries was not known. It was not clear if the boy is a student at the school or if he was participating in the event.
