Cops help revive 2-month-old who stopped breathing
Two Freehold Township police officers saved the life of a 2-month-old infant who stopped breathing on Saturday, officials say.
Two officers were sent to the child s house on Whistler Drive around 9:45 p.m. and found the infant unresponsive and not breathing, according to police. Officer Alex Fay performed chest compressions on the infant, while Officer Justin Nunno was able to suck fluids from the infant’s nose and mouth awaiting the arrival of an ambulance that took the child to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, police said. We commend both of these officers for their efforts under such dire circumstances, Freehold Township police chief George Baumann said in a statement.
Cops team up to revive infant that stopped breathing, police department says

A 2-month-old infant is in stable condition Sunday after being revived by a pair of police officers who were first to arrive at a Monmouth County home Saturday night to find the baby had stopped breathing.
Freehold Township police officers Alexander Fay and Justin Nunno were called to a home on Whistler Drive at 9:46 p.m., police said in a statement.
The officers teamed up on resuscitation efforts, with Fay performing chest compressions while Nunno worked on the baby’s airway, and was able to suction fluids from the baby’s nose and mouth.

COVID-19 in Somerset County: Town by town cases, deaths for Dec. 20
These were the latest reported – Dec. 20 – town-by-town case totals of COVID-19 in Somerset County.
The total number of cases was 11,048, an increase of 127 cases from the previous day. The ages of the cases range from younger than 1 to 103 years.
Somerset County s death toll from COVID-19 was 560; there were five additional death overnight.
The county Department of Health performs contact tracing for each case. If you have had close contact with a person who has tested positive, you will be contacted by health officials.
The data collected and provided by the county is preliminary and subject to change.
