Accident occurred near Medina on Sunday. Written By: Kathy Steiner | × A 61-year-old Jamestown man died in a rollover crash Sunday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said. The accident occurred at 1:23 p.m. on Interstate 94 one mile east of Medina. There was freezing rain at the time of the crash and roads were wet and had scattered ice, the patrol said. The patrol said the man was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on I-94 near mile marker 231. The vehicle partially entered the median of I-94 as the trailer began to fishtail. The driver overcorrected to the right and the Silverado entered the north ditch of I-94 traveling sideways, causing it to tip and overturn. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected, the patrol said.

A 61-year-old Jamestown man died from injuries suffered in a rollover crash Sunday, Dec. 20, on Interstate 94 outside Medina. The driver was traveling west in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado on I-94 near mile marker 231 when the pickup partially entered the median as a trailer the truck was pulling began to fishtail. The driver overcorrected and entered the north ditch, where the truck overturned, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. The man was taken by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Jamestown Woman Delivers 800 Gift Baskets to Frontline Workers

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown woman surprised employees at frontline businesses and organizations with the delivery of a total of 800 gift baskets to frontline workers in the area. Tia Nordberg is an employee at the James River Correctional Center who is relatively new to Jamestown.  Not being from North Dakota has given her the opportunity and time to give back during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Nordberg partnered with Operation Gratitude, a nationwide nonprofit, to assemble and deliver the gift bags.  She delivered 800 baskets to employees with the fire department, law enforcement, and prison, including 350 baskets to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Rollover Leads to Fatality in Stutsman County

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man is dead following a one-vehicle rollover crash in Stutsman County on Sunday afternoon. The 61-year old male was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado on I-94 near Medina shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday when he over corrected, rolled into the ditch and was ejected from the vehicle near mile marker 231. The North Dakota Highway Patrol report that road conditions were icy and wet during the time of the crash. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt. The man was transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries. His name has not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
