Regional countries have condemned plans to evict Palestinians to make way for Israeli settlers, and its response to protests over the matter.
And US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan expressed his serious concerns about the evictions, in a call with his Israeli peer, Meir Ben-Shabbat, National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne said.
Mr Sullivan also spoke of the country s concerns with violent confrontations at the Haram Al Sharif in East Jerusalem, which includes Al Aqsa Mosque, Islam s third holiest place and site of Israeli police incursions at the weekend.
The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry said the kingdom “rejects Israel’s plans and measures to evict dozens of Palestinians from their homes in Jerusalem and impose Israeli sovereignty over them .

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with Jordanian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi. The Secretary reaffirmed the importance of the U.S.-Jordan strategic partnership in advancing our mutual goals of peace and stability in the region. Secretary Blinken condemned the rocket attacks targeting Israel and expressed his concern about the confrontations in Jerusalem. Both agreed on the urgency of de-escalation and the importance of preserving the historic status quo at the holy sites in Jerusalem as well as Jordan’s role there. The Secretary also re-affirmed U.S. support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Secretary Blinken thanked the Foreign Minister for Jordan’s leadership in the region and reiterated the U.S. commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received today at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi carrying a message from King Abdullah II.
After the meeting, the head of the Civil Affairs Authority and member of Fatah Central Committee, Hussein al-Sheikh, said that Safadi came carrying a message from King Abdullah II confirming the depth of the historical relationship and coordination at the highest level between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the State of Palestine, and it dealt with the political developments in the region and some issues related to bilateral relations, stressing common
