OHOR BAHRU: Johor will only allow 50 congregants to perform Friday prayers and obligatory prayers at mosques and Friday surau, while only 20 people are allowed to perform prayers at other surau during the Movement Control Order (MCO) from tomorrow.
The directive also applies to mosque and surau activities until June 7 or a date to be announced later by the Johor Islamic Religious Council (JAINJ).
This was informed through a joint statement by Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi, Johor Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad and Johor Islamic Religious Department director Datuk Md Rofiki Samsudin here today.

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 10: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), through its corporate social responsibility programme, has channelled RM250,000 to help residents affected by floods in the state.
TNB in a statement announced that the aid for the Johor State Flood Victims Fund was presented by TNB chairman Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid to Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad at the Menteri Besar’s office in Kota Iskandar today.

JOHOR BARU, Dec 21 The Johor government, through the state’s Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ), will conduct a detailed investigation into Malaysian Illi Najwa Saddique’s recent marriage to Indian hockey captain Manpreet Singh Pawar, which has been the subject of some controversy.
Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Tosrin Jarvanthi said evidence, including those concerning the allegation that the marriage had already been held, was being compiled by JAINJ.
