The Moderna vaccine needs to be stored at regular freezer temperatures, not the ultra-cold required for Pfizer-BioNTech’s shot. It s a blessing, it surely is, said Madeline Camejo, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Baptist Health. It s something we ve all been waiting for and it s a great piece of hope that will help get us back to normal soon. Camejo said she was surprised they received the Moderna vaccine so quickly. She said it could start to be administered to health care workers on Tuesday.

Palm Beach County expecting COVID-19 vaccine arrival this week December 21, 2020 at 1:06 PM EST - Updated December 21 at 3:56 PM A major turning point in our fight against the deadly coronavirus pandemic is expected in Palm Beach County this week as the Dr. Alina Alonso, the health director for Palm Beach County, said on Friday that 18,000 doses are expected to arrive at the county health department this week for disbursement. We can keep that for four weeks. We ll be working those four weeks to roll this out to fire rescue, EMS, paramedics, our county health department frontline and health care workers. We will be rolling that out, Alonso said. Obviously, everyone cannot get the vaccine at the same time, so please be patient.

Jose Ojeda, a pharmacist who works in the emergency department, was one of the Baptist employees lining up for a dose that could bring him closer to that pre-pandemic world. He was receiving it two days before his 29th birthday. Ojeda said he had hoped to get the vaccine before then a first step in putting a scary year behind him.

Starting on Friday, December 18, the company will present 14 outdoor performances through the end of the month. The first performance is reserved for first responders and essential workers. After that, the general public can purchase tickets, which are being sold as pods of four to maintain social distanced. “This was important to the company because of our mission to engage and inspire our community through the power of dance,” says Tania Castroverde Moskalenko, MCB’s executive director. “It is our desire to bring some normalcy back into our daily lives and to provide hope, joy, and healing at a time when it’s needed most.”
