Dublin s Q102 By Ciaran Halpin The Government is set to go against NPHET advice and introduce antigen testing for reopening.
This means that unvaccinated people would be allowed to enter pubs and restaurants for indoor dining if they receive a negative Covid-19 test according to reports in todays Sunday Business Post.
This comes on the back of unofficial forecasts from the Department of Health that show that 60% of adults could be fully vaccinated by July 19th.
The paper reports it has learned that Health Minister Stephen Donnelly told industry bodies that 57% of the adult population will be fully vaccinated by July 19th, additionally reports suggest that the minister shared a vaccine forecast in a private meeting with representatives of the hospitality industry that 75% of people will have received at least their first vaccine by that July date.
