A 22-year-old man replied “I am sorry about the man” when he was charged with murder of Kwok Ping Cheng who was beaten to death in his home in Dublin, a court has heard.
Mr Cheng, who was aged 76, and fondly known to his friends and neighbours as George, was originally from Hong Kong. but he had lived for several years in a flat in Robinson’s Court, just off Cork Street in Dublin’s south inner city.

Two Irish women were arrested on arrival into Dublin after reportedly refusing to quarantine following their trip to Dubai for plastic surgery. Kirstie McGrath, 30, and Niamh Mulreany, 25, were arrested at Dublin Airport on Friday (local time). Their passports were seized and they were charged with breaching the Health Act, the
Irish Independent reported. Both women have denied the charges. According to the
Irish Independent, the two women appeared separately before a judge, who questioned whether their trip to Dubai for breast enhancement surgery was essential.
