HALIFAX A 38-year-old man is facing drug trafficking charges after police searched a pair of residences in Halifax and Timberlea, N.S. Wednesday. Halifax District RCMP says officers searched a home in Halifax, and a home in Timberlea on May 19 in connection with a drug trafficking investigation. Police say the searches resulted in the seizure of cocaine, contraband cigarettes and cannabis, and a 38-year-old man was arrested without incident. The man was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on July 22 to face charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purposes of Trafficking and Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis.

HALIFAX A 26-year-old man is facing several weapons and drugs related charges following a number of searches conducted in Dartmouth, N.S. on Thursday. According to police, investigators in the drug unit of the Integrated Special Enforcement Section obtained a warrant. Members of the drug unit, the Quick Response Unit, and East Division patrol officers searched an address on Galaxy Avenue and two rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Halifax Dartmouth in relation to an ongoing investigation. Police say as a result of the searches, they seized a quantity of cocaine, cash, three loaded handguns and ammunition. A man is facing several charges after Halifax Regional Police pulled over a vehicle Monday night in Dartmouth.
At around 9:10 p.m., police say officers spotted a vehicle making a left turn on a red light at the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Victoria Road.
When they tried to pull the car over, police say it didn t stop.
The officers followed it to a nearby parking lot where they arrested the driver.
HRP say the officers seized a loaded handgun and a quantity of cocaine.

HALIFAX Nova Scotia RCMP say they arrested three drivers on Sunday for impaired driving offences in the Halifax area. Around 11:20 a.m. on May 9, Halifax District RCMP say they stopped a vehicle in Dartmouth after the driver was showing signs of impairment. Police say they asked the 27-year-old driver to provide a breath sample. The Dartmouth man failed the test and was brought to the Cole Harbour Detachment and was later released, according to police. Officers say the driver will face charges of impaired operation of a conveyance and operating a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.
