Beaumont Healthâs 2020 Results Fall Due to COVID-19

Southfield-based Beaumont Health experienced year-over-year volume decreases across the board in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting inpatient discharges, observations, births, emergency visits, surgeries, and physician encounters.
The health systemsâ net income was $329.6 million, a decrease of $60.6 million from 2019. Operating revenues fell to $4.58 billion, a $122.4 million decrease. However, the effect of the pandemic revenue decline was offset by CARES dollars, which Beaumont continues to apply.
