Important to ‘keep a watchful eye’ on COVID situations in NSW and Vic13/05/2021|5min Deakin University Chair of Epidemiology Professor Catherine Bennett says despite New South Wales and Victoria both recording another day of no community COVID cases it is important to “keep a watchful eye” on the situation. Professor Bennett said while there have no further cases in NSW since the man passed on the virus to his wife “there could be those odd cases that haven’t been picked up”. “So it does pay to keep following this for a few weeks to try and reassure ourselves that we’re not just missing something, that we really do have this contained,” she said.
