UB and BOCONGO Commit to Guide National Development Agenda

UB and BOCONGO Commit to Guide National Development Agenda University of Botswana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Botswana Council of Non Governmental Organisations (BOCONGO) to establish and maintain a partnership focused on implementing collaborative activities that contribute towards national development. The objective of the MoU is to focus on activities that contribute towards national development anchored on National Development Plans, Vision 2036, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and other key strategic documents. Through the MoU UB and BOCONGO will, among others, be able to interrogate existing polices and create or strengthen platforms for policy research, advocacy and dialogue as well as encourage creative and innovative use of research and technology.

However, Samia said she had been framed on the basis of a false letter as part of a plot against her. The university syndicate also penalised Syed Mahfujul Haque Marjan, lecturer of the Department of Criminology and co-researcher of Samia, after finding evidence of plagiarism in the study.

A final decision on the date to hold the exams would be taken in the meeting of the General Admission Committee on Feb 18, said Prof Sadeka Halim, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. “Many changes have been made to the admission tests due to the current situation. We came up with the proposal after discussing the issues at the Deans Committee meeting,” she told bdnews24.com.
