For the second time this week, the Michigan Supreme Court has halted a court ruling to remove a ballot question on the proposed charter from Detroit s August primary ballot. Friday s order comes as the high court considers the latest appeal in the legal fight over the charter.

The Friday order by the state Supreme Court suspends a Wayne County Circuit Court ruling that ordered the removal of the ballot question off the primary ballot and a Michigan Court of Appeals ruling Thursday that affirmed the circuit court’s decision.
