HPE provides high quality engineering services, focusing primarily on metal fabrication and precision machining services, to regional, national and international customers. Advertisement Welcoming HPE to Northern Ireland, Kevin Holland, Invest Northern Ireland’s CEO said, “Northern Ireland has a long and proud history of manufacturing and engineering brilliance which forms the cornerstone of our economy. This investment by HPE will significantly contribute to this already vibrant and sophisticated advanced manufacturing and engineering sector. The increased capacity it creates will enable HPE to grow and thrive in international markets.

Council issues tender for first phase of Muff-Derry greenway - Highland Radio

Donegal County Council has published the tender for the Muff part of the Derry-Muff greenway. The 2.3km section – of an overall 10km route – will be delivered under the support of the cross-border North West Greenway Network. The works will include segregated infrastructure, the widening of existing footpaths, new and upgraded lighting, landscaping, drainage works and the provision of bicycle parking facilities at Muff Community Park. Funding has been provided by INTERREG VA, administered by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), with match-funding from the Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland and the Department for Transport in Ireland. The route is part of 46.5kms being developed by Donegal County Council in conjunction with the lead partner, Derry City & Strabane District Council.

Derry residents angry over placement of criminals in city centre bail accommodation The pandemic has led to an increase in demand for temporary accommodation for offenders Reporter: );   ); People living in Derry have expressed growing concern about the placement of criminals in temporary accommodation around the city. The Derry News has learned that in one case a ‘notorious’ paedophile was placed in a street just doors away from young families. Other violent offenders from different parts of Northern Ireland have been granted court bail to reside in B&Bs and hostels in the city. Residents are ‘outraged’ and have questioned whether risk assessments were carried out prior to these placements.
