Punch Newspapers Sections Dele Ogunyemi, Warri A  total of 48 political parties have filed a lawsuit before the Federal High Court, Asaba, Delta State, challenging the conduct of the March 6, 2021 Local Government Elections by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission. The suit with reference No. FHC/ASB/CC/19/2021, instituted by All Grand Alliance Party, Mega Party of Nigeria and New Generation Party of Nigeria on behalf of others, is praying the Court to compel DSEIC to include them on the ballot. 74 Political Parties Drag INEC, DSIEC To Court To Stop March 6 Delta Council Polls The plaintiffs prayed the court to, among other things, grant an order restraining the Delta State Electoral Commission (DSIEC) from conducting the March 6, 2021 local government elections in the state. The Advance Congress of Democrats (ACD), Alliance Of Social Democrats (ASD), Change Advocacy Party (CAP), Save Nigeria Congress (SNC) and 70 other political parties have dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) to court over their exclusion from the parties to participate in the forthcoming Delta State local government elections slated for March 6, 2021.
