Health secretary: Over 2,000 Tobagonians got covid19 jabs

THA Secretary of Health, Wellness and Family Development Tracy Davidson-Celestine has said over 2,000 people in Tobago have received the covid19 vaccine to date.
She was speaking at the weekly post-Executive Council news conference held virtually on Wednesday.
On March 31, TT received 33,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines in the first tranche from the World Health Organization’s Covax facility. Of those, Tobago got 3,000 doses, enough for 1,500 people.
This was the second batch of vaccines to arrive in Tobago, as it received 200 doses in February, part of a gift of 2,000 doses to TT from Barbados. These were offered to 100 frontline healthcare professionals.

PM Rowley Out of Isolation
27th April, 2021: Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley was tested today for COVID-19 in keeping with the stated health protocols.
The result remains negative.
This brings to an end the Prime Minister s isolation at the official residence in Blenheim under the supervision of the healthcare professionals from the Tobago Regional Health Authority.
Dr Rowley extends his deepest gratitude to the medical team who provided expert care during this period.
The Prime Minister thanks the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago who prayed for his well-being and offered kind words of support over the last three weeks.

THE Prime Minister has recovered from his recent bout of covid19, said a statement on Monday just after midday from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM). Prime Minister Dr the Hon Keith Rowley was tested today for covid19 and the result is negative, it said.
On April 6, the OPM issued a statement saying that Rowley has tested positive for covid19, after developing flu-like symptoms the evening before, saying he was then put in isolation and under medical supervision.
In the period from April 6 to his recovery on April 26, the OPM issued periodic statements saying he remained in isolation at the PM s official residence in Blenheim, Tobago and under the care and supervision of the medical professionals from the Tobago Regional Health Authority.
