After 30 days without recording any new cases, Tobago s Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development reported two new cases on Monday, one being the student. When contacted, Secretary of Education, Innovation and Energy Marslyn Melville-Jack told Newsday her division had been informed by the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development.

This brings the total number of cases on the island to 135. There have been two deaths. In its morning update, the division said there are now 28 active cases at Tobago s covid19 facility at the old Scarborough Hospital, Fort Street in Scarborough. Last Sunday, Tobago recorded eight new cases, which included one fire officer from the Crown Point Fire Station. The officer reported to duty days before and was sent home after he complained of feeling unwell. He was swabbed and later confirmed positive on Sunday.
