(NETFLIX) With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting our activities outside of home, especially during weekends, streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go, Disney +, Hulu, and others have become a mainstay of our stay-at-home lives.
Adapting to their new role of catering to people’s leisure needs, streaming services appear to have responded with great care and attention, launching new films, documentaries, and series nearly every month.
With so many new films and series on offer, viewers are spoilt for choice, especially on weekends.

Viggo Mortensen is one of the greatest actors of our time, having appeared in more than 50 films, including The Lord of the Rings franchise, Eastern Promises and The Road. Now, he’s made his directorial debut with Falling, which he also wrote and co-stars in, about a gay man who must care for his ailing, irritable and homophobic father. Falling premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday. Ahead of its premiere, Mortensen joined Tom Power to tell us how the film examines acceptance, empathy and tense family dynamics.
