Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian delegation led by Minister of Road and Transport Development L.Khaltar participated in the International Transport Forum (ITF)’s Pre-Summit Ministers’ Roundtable on Transport and COVID-19 held virtually on December 10.
Irish Minister for Transport and for the Environment, Climate and Communications Eamon Ryan chaired the meeting in which fthe ministers had a high-level discussion on impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on transport and shared their experiences.
In his remarks during the meeting, Minister L.Khaltar said Mongolia, as a new member, will be taking active part in the ITF’s activities and presented the measures the country is taking to solve the transport challenges caused by COVID-19 and the transport ministry’s plan for the future.
Six Louth primary schools connected to broadband by the end of 2022

679 schools will be connected to broadband by the end of 2022 in an acceleration of the National Broadband Plan (NBP) announced by the Government and NBI this Thursday.
Under the originally planned roll out, some schools would have had to wait up to seven years for connection. Now, all schools will be connected within two years.
Some 70 schools across the country in the Intervention Area will become Broadband Connection Points (BCPs) by the end of Q1 2021, receiving 150mb high-speed connectivity for educational access.
The first 25 schools have already been connected, incuding Achonry National School in Sligo, St Joseph’s National School in Laois, St. Kevin’s National School in County Wicklow, St Joseph’s National School in Galway, Ballagh National School in Roscommon, Ennistymon National School in Clare, Calry National School in Sligo and Balscadden National School in Dublin.
