Speaking on the debate âA Digital Europe for all ?â organised by the Province of Flemish Brabant and by the University of Leuven (KUL) , Mr Patrick PENNINCKX addressed questions such as the assessment of the impact of the Digital Revolution and the management of the Information Society . Mr PENNINCKX who is Head of Information Society Department at the Council of Europe also presented some of the Council of Europe s work to provide a protection to Human Rights in the digital age. Taking place on Monday 26 April from 7:30 PM to 9PM, the presentation included information on the fight against cybercrime and the protection of data, among many others.
New project âLegal Education in the Field of Freedom of Expression in Ukraineâ

The Council of Europe Project âLegal Education in the Field of Freedom of Expression in Ukraineâ was launched on 15 February 2021 and will be implemented over four months. The Project is funded by the voluntarily contribution of the Government of Flanders in the framework of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2022. The Projectâs total budget is EUR 65.936.
The project aims to increase knowledge of the Ukrainian law students about issues of international and European human rights law, such as safety of journalists, freedom of association, negative and positive obligations in this area by means of tailored training
