Hospital and Research Centre to the Wenlock Hospital and admitted in the B ward.

MANGALURU: Congress workers held a protest rally against increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG in Mangaluru on Tuesday. Party workers staged a demonstration by walking from the Clock Tower to the deputy commissioner’s office, carrying firewood on their heads, symbolically opposing the frequent hike fuel prices. The party workers also used a bullock cart and pulled an autorickshaw to express their anger over the price rise and inflation. At a protest meeting held near the deputy commissioner’s office, former minister B Ramanath Rai said that while the Congress was always with the poor and downtrodden, the BJP in power has been following an anti-people policy.

MANGALURU: Opposing the hike in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG, Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee (DCC) will hold a protest rally from Light House Hill to the deputy commissioner’s office on March 2. DCC president K Harish Kumar said that organisations of owners and workers of buses, auto rickshaws, fishing boats and other forums will take part in the rally, which will commence at 10am. Meanwhile, buses and auto rickshaws will remain off the road as a token of protest till 2pm on the day, he said.
